Silentium Luminosum

Silentium luminosum – Latin for a luminous, bright silence.

In 2020, like almost everyone in arts and culture, we lost nearly all our commissions, and the winter light festivals were cancelled. Instead of staying idle, we volunteered to create a place of contemplation: together with the makers of Holzpark Klybeck and Tom Brunner, we bathed the site – with its emerging cultural centre «Gannet» and many smaller and larger projects – in light and fog.

On evening walks, visitors could quietly reflect on the year coming to an end, and discover the projects on the site in a new light.
